Before moving to programming, I spent over a decade in science. My areas of expertise include botany, genetics, and environmental health. Check out my Google Scholar profile for a list of my peer-reviewed scientific publications.

I am a Software Engineer / Consultant at CGI, where I use Ember.js and Electron on a cross platform desktop app. Previously I was the Program Manager and Mobile App Developer at 24/7 Systems, Inc. Check out the Roundslogging Mobile app in the Google Play Store, for which I was the lead developer.

I taught at the college level for over a decade. I've spoken to groups of five to two hundred. I still enjoy teaching even if it isn't in classroom, and I've taken that excitement to my new career.
